AT TOKYO Corporation
AT TOKYO Enhances Connectivity in the ATBeX Osaka Zone
Achieving Redundant Connectivity to the AWS Osaka Region
via Diverse Routes
AT TOKYO Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Takashi Kuwabara; hereinafter “AT TOKYO”) announces enhancements to connectivity in the Osaka Zone of its network platform service, ATBeX*1, through the expansion of its connection services and the addition of a new connection point. These enhancements are scheduled to be introduced sequentially beginning in November 2026.
In addition to inter-data center connectivity, ATBeX provides flexible connections to multiple service providers, including major cloud providers*2, Internet Exchanges (IXs)*3, Internet service providers (ISPs), and telecommunications carriers. ATBeX also offers solution services such as edge cloud services and data backup services, and continues to expand its service portfolio with the goal of becoming a nationwide business platform available throughout Japan.
AT TOKYO has built a nationwide connectivity environment through ATBeX by operating data center networks centered on the Tokyo Zone and Osaka Zone, while expanding access points across Japan. Through this initiative, AT TOKYO will further strengthen connectivity within the ATBeX Osaka Zone, contributing to enhanced service convenience and the creation of new business opportunities, particularly in western Japan.
Details of the initiative are as follows.
(1) Redundant Connectivity to AWS Direct Connect Locations within the ATBeX Osaka Zone
As an AWS Direct Connect Delivery Partner, AT TOKYO will enhance connectivity to Telehouse OSAKA2, an AWS Direct Connect location, and provide two connectivity options to the AWS Osaka Region to meet various customer requirements.
• Premium Connect for AWS (Telehouse OSAKA2)
AT TOKYO will provide a direct connection service to physical ports offered by AWS at its Kansai Data Center #3 (KDC3).
Customers located at other sites within the Osaka area will also be able to use this service by connecting to KDC3 through inter-data center connectivity and related services.
• ATBeX ServiceLink for AWS (Telehouse OSAKA2)
AT TOKYO will provide a hosted connection service through ATBeX to Telehouse OSAKA2.
By connecting to the AWS Osaka Region via ATBeX, customers will be able to build flexible network environments with bandwidth options starting from 50 Mbps and scalable according to their requirements.
In addition, by combining this new connectivity option with the existing connection to Equinix OS1, already available via ATBeX, customers will be able to establish redundant private connectivity to AWS through two different AWS Direct Connect locations using diverse routes. This enables the construction of a highly reliable AWS Direct Connect environment at a lower cost.
Furthermore, access points connected to the ATBeX Osaka Zone will also be able to achieve redundant connections to AWS Direct Connect locations.
(2) Addition of KDC3 as a Connection Point in the ATBeX Osaka Zone
KDC3 is one of AT TOKYO's data centers located in the central Osaka area. By adding KDC3 as a new connection point within the ATBeX Osaka Zone, customers using KDC3 will be able to access a wide range of ATBeX connectivity services directly via in-building cross-connects.
In addition, connectivity between KDC3 and existing Osaka Zone connection points, including Kansai Chuo Center (KC1) and Kansai Data Center #2 (DC12), will be provided within the same zone, enabling a higher-quality and more cost-effective connectivity environment.
(3) Enabling Connectivity from Digital Edge OSA1 Osaka Data Center to ATBeX
With KDC3 becoming a connection point within the ATBeX Osaka Zone, customers at the Digital Edge OSA1 Osaka Data Center ("OSA1") will be able to connect to ATBeX through cross-connects within the facility.
As a result, OSA1 customers will gain access to major cloud providers, various service providers, and data centers throughout Japan via ATBeX.
Through this initiative, AT TOKYO will continue expanding connectivity across western Japan. By improving convenience, efficiency, and security for customers nationwide, AT TOKYO remains committed to supporting their business growth.
