AT TOKYO Collaborates with INTEC and Arcserve Japan
To Launch the New Backup Solution “Secure Data Vault”
Supporting Ransomware Countermeasures and Disaster Response

AT TOKYO Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Tatsuya Izumida; hereinafter “AT TOKYO”) will collaborate with INTEC Inc. (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture; President: Shuzo Hikida; hereinafter “INTEC”) and Arcserve Japan LLC (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Takahiro Kouke; hereinafter “Arcserve”) to launch a new backup solution, “Secure Data Vault,” in the spring of 2026.

In recent years, the threat of ransomware has grown increasingly severe, and organizations of all types and sizes now face the risk of being targeted.
If a ransomware attack disrupts a company’s ability to continue operations, the impact can be immense—including loss of public trust, damage to brand reputation, and substantial recovery costs. As a result, the importance of establishing a system that enables rapid restoration of operations using backup data, even in the event of an incident, has never been greater.

Against this backdrop, AT TOKYO has decided to launch the “Secure Data Vault,” a backup solution that leverages its network platform service, ATBeX*1.
This solution connects INTEC’s cloud-based backup service (EINS/BRS)*2 with ATBeX, enabling customers to store backup data in cloud environments.
In addition, it integrates Arcserve’s dedicated backup appliance, the Arcserve UDP Appliance*3, with ATBeX to support backup data storage in on-premises environments.

With this capability, users of Secure Data Vault can flexibly choose their backup storage destination—whether on-premises or in the cloud—via ATBeX, thereby ensuring business continuity even in the event of an unforeseen incident.

Configuration and Key Features of Secure Data Vault

1. Network Integration via ATBeX
Even when backup sources are distributed across on-premises environments, cloud environments, or multiple sites—and regardless of whether backup destinations are on-premises or in the cloud—ATBeX enables network integration.
Through a closed L2 network with guaranteed bandwidth, backup data can be uploaded and downloaded securely and with stable communication quality.

2. Secure Data Storage on a Fully Japan-based Cloud Platform
EINS/BRS, the cloud-based backup service used as the cloud storage destination, is a proprietary, fully Japan based cloud platform provided by INTEC.
It can be used with confidence without concerns over data sovereignty issues, and users can choose between two storage locations—Tokyo and Toyama—allowing for easy implementation of remote-site data storage as part of disaster preparedness.

3. Secure Data Storage in the Data Center
For on-premises backup destinations, the Arcserve UDP Appliance is housed in a one-quarter rack within our data center.
By also using our optional on-site services, customers can perform tape media tasks such as exchanging or storing LTO cartridges, enabling offline backup—an effective measure against ransomware.
In addition, in the event of an emergency such as a system failure or disaster, on-site support can be provided for tasks including indicator checks, device power cycling, and cable reconnection.

AT TOKYO will continue to enhance the ATBeX service lineup to improve customer convenience and support further business growth.
