AT TOKYO to Launch a Customer Sustainability Support Program
in October 2022

AT TOKYO Corporation (headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Akira Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as "AT TOKYO") will, from October 2022, offer its Customer Sustainability Support Program to its data center customers to support achieving environmental value of electricity generated from renewable energy.

Environmental considerations are a major operating challenge for corporate systems, with data center operators and users alike being required to implement measures that can realize a sustainable and decarbonized society. Through the use of this program, the electricity used in our data centers is combined with the environmental value of electricity originating from renewable energy sources, enabling the use of electricity with virtually zero carbon dioxide emissions and promoting wider decarbonization efforts.

The two main benefits of this program are:

1. Customers can purchase environmental value in quantities in proportion (*1) to their electricity usage at the data center.
In order for the electricity used to be substantially renewable, the extra non-fossil value must be procured in advance so that the amount of non-fossil energy value procured does not fall below the amount of electricity used. By using this program, customers can reduce the cost of procuring this surplus.

2. Thanks to its simple application procedures and program operation, there is little or no administrative burden on the customer side.
