AT TOKYO Launches ATBeX Fukuoka Access Point
Extended ATBeX Network Becomes More Widely Accessible(*1)

AT TOKYO Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President and Chief Executive Officer: Akira Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as “AT TOKYO”) will launch ATBeX Fukuoka Access Point in AT TOKYO Kyushu Center #1 (QC1), established in November 2021. The new access point will extend the ATBeX platform, increasing its wide accessibility.
The access point service will begin in the summer of 2022.

AT TOKYO’s high-quality data centers in Tokyo and Osaka provide customers with efficient and secure connections to the cloud and other service providers, including connectivity between AT TOKYO data centers through ATBeX.

The QC1 established in Fukuoka in November last year, following the data centers in Tokyo and Osaka, is a significant foothold for AT TOKYO to develop a network hub in Japan. Furthermore, it will also serve as an edge data center and support a move towards decentralization.

With the access point in Fukuoka, AT TOKYO customers who expand their business to Kyushu will have the benefit of using this one-stop service for connecting to the data center and cloud services, as well as better connectivity between data centers. It will also facilitate disaster recovery planning and geographical dispersion with AT TOKYO data centers in key cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, and its partner data centers across Japan.

AT TOKYO customers in the Kyushu region will gain a more prompt and cost-efficient access to mega cloud services, as well as flexible connectivity to Japan’s major IX providers(*2), domestic telecommunications carriers, Internet service providers, and contents service providers. Moreover, a variety of flexible and efficient network configurations can be made, such as hybrid configuration that orchestrates on-premises and cloud services, multicloud configuration with a mix of could services, and the Near Cloud service(*3) via ATBeX.

ATBeX Connectivity

AT TOKYO continues to strengthen its cooperation with other data center operators in each region, recognizing the needs for dispersing systems in the age of edge computing, IoT, and 5G, and providing seamless connections to data centers. We remain committed to offering value added data center services while focusing on the basics of safe and secure data center operations.
