BBIX Launches New IX Point “BBIX Osaka No.4” at AT TOKYO’s Data Center
BBIX establishes fourth IX connection point
in Dojima area to provide IX service

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that conducts an Internet eXchange (IX) business, will open "BBIX Osaka No.4" in "AT TOKYO DC12" (Dojima, Kita-ku, Osaka) of AT TOKYO Corporation ("AT TOKYO") to provide “IX Connect Service” from July 16, 2021.

The recent increase in Internet traffic due to changes in social behavior patterns such as working from home, the further spread of cloud services, the speeding up of access lines and the expansion of network operations by businesses, is particularly apparent in the Kansai area. Addressing these increasing traffic demands and providing smooth and stable traffic exchange are major issues for local Internet operators.

BBIX and AT TOKYO will extend the strong partnership that they have built in the Tokyo area and will open the "BBIX Osaka No.4" in AT TOKYO DC12, which is operated by AT TOKYO in the Dojima area of Osaka.
As a result, together with the adjacent "Osaka No. 1 Center" (NTT Data Dojima) and "Osaka No. 3 Center" (NTT Smart Connect Dojima Data Center, No.2 Building), the BBIX Osaka No.4 will enable more Kansai area content providers, Internet service providers, and enterprises to utilize efficient traffic exchange and low-latency, high-quality IX services on the BBIX platform.

Through this partnership with AT TOKYO, BBIX will realize efficient connections between customers and contribute to the provision of efficient and stable Internet communication in the Osaka area.
