Interconnection between AT TOKYO's "ATBeX" and
Tochigi Prefecture's Regional IX "tochigix"
Expanding Platform Functionality through Interregional Collaboration

The four companies, AT TOKYO Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President and Chief Executive Officer: Tatsuya Izumida; hereinafter "AT TOKYO"), CableTV Co., Ltd. (Headquarters : Tochigi, Tochigi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Mitsuhiro Takada), Kanuma Cable Television Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Hiroyuki Tanami), and Watarase Television Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Minoru Soma) are pleased to announce a collaboration between AT TOKYO's network service platform "ATBeX"^*1 and the regional IX (Internet eXchange)^*2 "tochigix" that interconnects cable TV ISPs (internet service providers) in Tochigi Prefecture. The service based on the collaboration is slated to be available in Spring 2024. The details will be provided on each company’s website when it is ready.

The collaboration between ATBeX and tochigix allows ATBeX to provide on-demand connections from the tochigix service area to major domestic and international data centers, network operators, and service providers, which achieves a cost-effective and efficient interregional interconnection environment, creating new business opportunities and value.
Driven by the government’s promotion of Government Cloud utilization, not only private companies but also local governments are actively adopting cloud services. Through this collaboration, we also aim to meet the demand for cost-effective and convenient closed-network connections to cloud services from local government facilities and branch offices of private companies across various regions.

AT TOKYO, CableTV Co., Ltd., Kanuma Cable Television Co., Ltd., and Watarase Television Co., Ltd. will help accelerate your business in Tochigi Prefecture and other areas in Japan through the collaboration of ATBeX and tochigix.

*1 ATBeX (AT TOKYO Business eXchange)
A network service platform offering interconnection between multiple customer networks between AT TOKYO data centers and partner data centers.

*2 Regional IX (Internet eXchange)
Refers to a location or functionality that facilitates the interconnection of ISPs and other networks within the same regional area, relaying traffic. The installation of an IX within a region is expected to enhance the efficiency of network usage and improve fault tolerance.
