AWS Direct Connect Service is Now Available in AT TOKYO Data Centers
Providing New Services Connecting to AWS in CC1

AT TOKYO Corporation (Headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Akira Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as “AT TOKYO”) announces that Amazon Web Services (hereinafter referred to as "AWS") Direct Connect service is now available at its Chuo Data Center (CC1). At the same time, AT TOKYO starts providing connection services to AWS Direct Connect.

AWS Direct Connect is the service to enable customers to connect to AWS from their facility with dedicated lines. As the access point to the AWS Direct Connect is established within CC1, Customers using AWS from within our data centers will have in-house private connections between their systems and the cloud environment, and thus can expect reduced network cost, improved bandwidth throughput, and stable application performance.

Main points of the new connection services are as follows:

■Easier access to AWS from within AT TOKYO Data Centers
With the launch of AWS Direct Connect in CC1 today, we commence offering dedicated 1Gbps or 10Gpbs physical ports provided by AWS Direct Connect to connect to the AWS services worldwide.

We will also be shortly offering “ATBeX CloudLink” service to AWS that provides sub-1Gbps connectivity by logically splitting the physical ports mentioned above using our service platform “ATBeX”, as we have officially become an AWS Direct Connect Partner.

■Physical diversity of access points within Tokyo becomes possible
Until now, AWS cloud customers in Japan had to access to both Tokyo and Osaka access points in order to achieve physical diversity of AWS Direct Connect access points, but with the new AT TOKYO access point, it becomes possible to obtain two physically diverse access points within Tokyo. This will help customers reduce both communication cost and latency associated with dedicated lines between Tokyo and Osaka.

■Highly reliable hybrid cloud environment
AT TOKYO’s CC1 is recognized by a large number of its tenants for the superior robustness of its facilities and high quality services.

Enterprises will now be able to obtain highly reliable hybrid cloud environment by combining various cloud services typified by AWS Direct Connect with AT TOKYO’s colocation and related services.

By AWS newly establishing its access point within AT TOKYO’s CC1, connectivity of our data centers are further enhanced and, combined with the scalability provided by one of Japan’s largest floor area in a single data center campus, our goal to become the Hub of Internet in Japan becomes closer.

Our mission is to support customers in accelerating their business growth by providing an effective platform where our customers’ businesses can meet and cross-connect. As a dedicated data center provider with long experience in operating one of the most reliable data centers in the world, we will continue to provide our World quality mission-critical operations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
